EHA Impact Ventures Reinvests $100,000 in Ananya Health to Advance Cervical Cancer Prevention

Abuja, Nigeria – September 1, 2026 – EHA Impact Ventures (EIV) has announced a follow-on investment of $100,000 in Ananya Health to advance its cervical cancer prevention device towards US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) clearance. This is EIV’s third investment in Ananya Health, reaffirming its commitment to providing patient, founder-centered capital to women-led businesses solving critical healthcare challenges across Africa.

Ananya Health is developing a battery-powered cryoablation device that freezes abnormal cervical cells before they can become cancerous. Traditional cryoablation requires specialized doctors, cryogen gas, and costly equipment, barriers that put this preventative technology out of reach for many of the communities that need it most. Ananya Health's device removes those barriers: it's portable, affordable, and simple enough for any clinician who already performs a pelvic exam to use, whether an OB-GYN or a nurse midwife, at a primary healthcare center rather than a specialist referral.

"Every clinical milestone we've hit has been built on the assumption that this device needs to work for a midwife in Nairobi and an OB-GYN in Chicago alike," said Anu Parvatiyar, CEO of Ananya Health. "EIV's reinvestment moves us closer to FDA clearance to make sure we can get this device to patients everywhere and prevent women from suffering from a preventable disease."

The new investment will support Ananya Health as it pursues the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance, the regulatory pathway that would allow the device to be marketed in the United States. The funding will finance the technical, clinical, and regulatory work required to reach that milestone in mid-2027, a critical step before the device can move toward commercialization.

"Healthcare innovation requires patience," said Evelyn Castle, CEO of EHA Impact Ventures. "The path from concept to commercialization is rarely linear, particularly for medical devices that must meet rigorous regulatory standards before they can reach the market. Our follow-on investment in Ananya Health reflects our belief that meaningful impact is created when investors remain committed beyond the first cheque."

Ananya Health's device has already reached key technical milestones, including a battery-operated cooling system that consistently reaches -40 degrees Celsius, and has built partnerships with clinical organizations, advocacy groups, and screening companies to support adoption in target markets including the US, Mexico, Nigeria, and India.

Once cleared and commercialized, Ananya Health's device has the potential to make cervical cancer screening and prevention dramatically more accessible across underserved regions, turning a procedure once limited to specialists and well-resourced facilities into something available at the primary care level.

As EIV continues to grow its portfolio, follow-on investments such as this one demonstrate its commitment to being a long-term partner to founders, not only at the point of investment, but throughout the journey of building solutions that can improve lives at scale.
